neighbors

ok. so rob and i have the wretched white trash neighbors (or ghetto neighbors, you pick). there's a mother, a daughter and the baby (of the daughters). the daughter is younger than me. my 1st complaint is that they constantly leave the front door of our apartment building open. it's a locking door (for safety reasons) and we all have keys. we wouldn't mind so much if they were actually sitting at the door, but they're not. the daughter will prop the door open and walk down the street to the corner store or a friends house. they'll leave it open so that people can just come in when they come over. also, they leave their own apartment open. to top it off, they wonder why things have been stolen from their apartment! can you say, "DUH!?"

the 2nd gripe deals with the entry hallway lights (another safety issue). the lights are connected to rob and my apartment. basically we pay for the safey of the other apartments. they constantly turn them off. probably because they leave their apartment door open and hang out in the stairwell (another complaint all together). we've left nice notes asking/telling them to leave the lights on and the door closed, but they have proven ineffective.

as to their being in the stairwell - my 3rd complaint - it is a multi-issue problem. they yell up and down the stairs at all hours of the day and night. with rob sleeping during the day and me during the night, this proves problematic. also, the daughter has this one friend that hangs out with her in the stairwell. rob has caught her a couple of times opening other peoples' mail! oh, and this friend and the mom's boyfriend both have keys to the apartment building (even tho neither actually live in the apartment).

add this all up and it equals a call to the landlord. we've called him once before about the front door (apparently that didn't work). hopefully this time they'll change or get evicted. i'm tired of the trashy ghetto shits living in our building.

oh, and in case you were wondering, rob and i were in the building 1st.
