*blows the dust and clears out the cobwebs off this*

It's been months since I last updated, so now that I started just blogging and saying hi to buddies around here, I ought to start posting here again! ...Where do I even start? XD

I think I'd better welcome Paul on my friends list first, aka, hope4nat. A while back I found an introverts community around LJ and left an intro post. Paul found it and so now I have a new LJ buddy. :D

Now to talk about work, I guess. Well, until the cold weather comes back I'm still working five days a week, unless there's an auction going on during one of the days I'm off, so I go to work on those days too.

My bookstore business has been picking up slowly overtime, and that's always good. Still filling the shelves with many various books... As for the potted plants, I've been watering and growing strawberry plants this year! Only sold a few out of the twenty I had in all, but it's been interesting to watch them grow. They've already all flowered and grew berries by now, because they did it quickly! Very soon my mom and I are going to take the remaining ones home and plant them. My dad and I are hoping to buy some other berry growing plants, and maybe some hostas from this guy we know. Maybe tomato plants too?

This is a Blue Hosta I still have. It's still very green-bluish and healthy looking now, and sits to the right on one of the steps that lead up to my store's front entrance. I like the way it looks.

I learned for myself that before there can be berries, these little white blossoms go into bloom first. After the petals fall off, the berries start growing.

This was the biggest strawberry I noticed. I'm sure the birds and rabbits enjoyed munching on some of them. I know I've tried a few--very sweet, and a bit tangy too. :)

This is I took when I saw one of the Asian lily plants growing back. I think these bloom the deep red kind, my favorite of them all.

There's the Blue Hosta again, with tiger lily plants and the grassy one. Some of these I moved onto the steps, to make room for the strawberry plants.

What else I've been up to... Every other Friday for tabletop meetup has become every Friday now, so that's been awesome. We (Mom, myself, and the four to five other core members) met two, no three new gamers who happen to like the games we have. They're becoming the new regulars, yaaay! We love new people.

Of course, the tabletop collection at home has expanded a bit more. There's this card deck building expansion Mom won as a door prize at High Tide called Ascension: Immortal Heroes I started to really like. The artwork is very cool, and the uniquely shaped gem pieces represent victory points for monster battles, depending on how many militia, heroes, and weapon constructs you have to help you win the battles. Also, the more rune cards you have, the more you're able Mom and I hope the base game for this, Storm of Souls, will come into High Tide Games soon. We really want to show our buddies this game, and see what other cards there are.

Another new one we have is a simple quick strategy card game called Loot. It plays out a bit like the classic War card game but the higher number of skull and crossbones win you the merchant ships. The pirate ship cards come in some different colors so you can tell who's attacking which merchant ships. There are also the Captain and Admiral face cards that are among the highest of value cards to play. You have to play as many merchant ships as you can, or else if you get a lot of them still in your hand, you'd have to subtract those from your total winnings. The art on the pirate face card art is amusing. Last Friday Mom and I introduced this game to the guys and they liked it.

This is a video I've meant to put up but since I got the faster internet connection on the laptop, I can put up more videos. ^.^ This one I took when I wanted to capture some of the cute brown rabbits on video.

This is a video tour of a comic shop called Third Eye Comics. Of course, I'm into comics very much and my friend Sean there is a very cool and funny dude.

This is a kind of video I've been wanting to do for a while. Featuring some of my Primal Rage action figures, Des! :) And yes I really did two character journals for some of the dinos. Feel free to check those out sometime. The raptor_family one is a bit more entertaining. I just might go back to updating it again and make videos starring Talon and the gang. That'd be interesting!

absent much?, my own videos, bookstore stuff, plants, primal rage ftw
