New and Current Friendships, Etc.
First, I warmly welcome Bryn (fallen_castiel) to my friends list. Good times ahead, surely. ^___^
Earlier, I thought a bit about this friend of mine who works at this store that has comics, manga, and board games not far from me. Since it was a while since the last time we talked, and I was feeling a little lonely. So I went in for a visit later that evening-to catch up and look around. I’m glad I did. Shawn is such a fun and amusing person. He’s another geek, like I am, and he loves board games too. I’m also glad because he told me of this new board game store that’s opened a week and a half ago. I’m inwardly flailing at this! Mom and I, when we’re both off from work, will surely check it out. He also talked about these new and interesting games he tried out. (The Flying Tomato game, that sounds amusing… I highly doubt there are real tomatoes involved. :P Didn’t seem like it, from how he explained it to me.)
I noticed a Cthulu version of the Fluxx card game! It looks like crazy fun. Maybe I’ll buy a copy later. (Fluxx is a fairly easy game to learn. All you do pretty much is follow what the cards read. The rules and goals however always change. If anyone else likes silly group/party games, I recommend Fluxx. There’s quite a few different other kinds. Mom and I have the Monty Python one.)
I also saw some comics and manga I’ll get soon-ish. I got the fifth Dexter novel, by Jeff Lindsay. I’m very into that currently. And out of all the Dexter characters, both TV and book versions, I realize I have the same personality as Rita does! ISFJ.
I’ll get back to Spawn Origins after I’ve finished. Unless I get a copy of either version of Dean Koontz’s Demon Seed before that!
