I've got much to share. <3
First, the long awaited latest Mao fanart. I've definitely surprised myself on how 3D and shiny I made that bell on his collar look.
I'm hoping to get around to drawing him like a superhero this week, or next week...
As for the fanfiction, I am gradually progressing in writing chapter 5. It'll be a while until I can get the next two done and proofread God knows how many times until it's as good as it's gonna get.
Over the weekend, I've read some more comics. The most twistedly dark kind of graphic novel I've read so far, far more darker and obscure than the WANTED one, is Mark Millar's The Unfunnies. It's about this cheesy syndicate type of cartoony comic world gone to the gutter--from silly slap stick to all the kinds of crazy and sinful stuff that's been going on in our world today.
I'll just tell you straight up that you will not find anything even close to a happy ending here. I have almost all four issues, but I found it very interesting... This cartoonist who's a satanist and very into the occult had found a way to escape his death sentence. He molested and murdered some kids...probably out of frustration for being unable to have a family with his wife, who had unfairly hated him for having testicular cancer.
Through black magic, he had started to email his characters from his comics The Funnies while in prison. No one apparently saw the harm in him making drawing and making more comics. Through these emails, these temptations to get a couple of the animal characters doing these horrible things, it lead to making a pact with one of them--swapping bodies with someone who wanted to go experience the real world. For those who are interested in reading this mini series, I summarized so I wouldn't mention any big spoilers.
I finished scanning all of the first Mouse Guard graphic novel by David Peterson. Something I'd like to share with all of you. :D
