Some crazy shit right here

So I get a call yesterday from my friend Sophie who lives down the block from me. She tells me that her car got stolen the night before out of her driveway. She had a club on the car but it wasn't locked so the thieves placed it ever so kindly on the lawn. Scary thing is that it happened anywhere between 1 and 4:30am and I came home that night at 4am. So now I'm all scared about coming home late at night. Especially because my brother comes up with all these ways of how he would hide and attack people, kind of like getting into the mind of an attacker. So he tells me all these things so that I'm more aware of my surroundings which helps but also scares the crap out of me too.

Sophie also said that the police told her that before they came to the house they were on Dartmouth St. because there was a carjacking. Here's what happened: Car A rear-ends Car B. Driver of car B gets out to survey damage. Passenger of car A jumps into car B and drives away. Scary! What the hell is going on in Forest Hills?!?! What's going on in the buffer neighborhoods? They don't have nice enough stuff? WTF?

Oh and I was at Danny boy's last night. George the bartender was telling us that a councilman's house got robbed around the block from the bar. They said it happened between 9am and 1pm before the kids got home from school. Makes me glad that I have workers here so at least I'm not by myself.

In other news, not too much is going on. I need to start eating healthier with all this take-out we've been getting. It really sucks not having a kitchen. I want to buy groceries and go cook at Dennis' house. Hmm what else is going on? Oh, people have expressed an interest in doing a secret santa thing again this year. Problem is getting everyone in the same place to pick names. Lauren sent out an e-mail about this previously but it kind of just got lost in the shuffle. Perhaps I'll send out a follow-up e-mail sometime soon. Or maybe we can all hangout this weekend.

That's all for now. I'm choking on dust and the smell of burning wood. Mmm time for lunch!
