Happy New Year everyone!
I hope everyone had a super fun new year's eve. I started the night off at my dad's friend's house until 12:30am. It went by really fast, surprisingly. My dad bought 2 bottles of Moet nectar imperial (which we couldn't stop him from buying) and 4 gigantic crabs.
After that I went to Dennis' house for more fun festivities. It was super fun. There were so many people there. I made punch with marinaded fruit, cheesecake cupcakes, white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, and brownies. We pretty much took over the dining room and hung out with Papa French until he went to sleep. Mike made some amazing food and was pushing blue label on everyone. I was sad I missed the Cristal. Debb and James came by after Scopa at, I don't remember what time. I was drunk but not nauseous, sobered up but not tired. It was excellent. I wanted to go to bed but there were so many people there. Chips were thrown, shots were taken, beer and punch was drank. Good times. Apparently someone threw up in the downstairs bathroom and we only found it the next day. Devin tried to walk from Dennis' house to his house in Kew Gardens but got to Adam's Deli and came back. I didn't get to sleep until 10:30am and I got up at 2pm to get the house ready for my cousins who were coming over for dinner and gift exchange.
When I got home I cleaned the house, took a nap, showered, then made some dinner. I got a Ralph Lauren travel set and a scarf. So cute. I need to travel more is what she was saying by giving that gift. After they left I went back to Dennis' to help clean but he wouldn't let me help him. Which was fine by me because I was so tired. We watched some Chris Farely movie about ninjas. Then we started playing with the balloons I bought. We made a new game. Tim wants to call it balloon knot which I think is gross. I think it's just called the balloon game, which is like volleyball but with a balloon and couches. I'm "the wall" when we play because of the set up of the room. I don't play because there are too many elbows flying everywhere. It's a super fun game. I doubt we can play it when Dennis' mom is home because everyone gets super loud.
I got my American Eagle order in the mail. I ordered one of those jackets with the fur time on the hood. I know, everyone has one. I was going to buy one earlier but the way my billing cycles end I had to go Christmas shopping for myself a week after Christmas which worked out very well because everything was on sale. I also got 2 shirts and 3 pairs of jeans. Tomorrow my Gap order is coming. I got a velvet blazer and the crazy argyle scarf and mittens I've been salivating over because they finally went on sale. I love shopping.
I called to check if they called my number for jury duty and thank goodness they didn't. I'm way too tired from this weekend. I hate my bed because I think it's too hard. Last night I never loved it more. Anyway, if I did get called I would have to get on the LIRR at 7am because I have to go all the way to fucking Central Islip. Stupid federal court. I want to get jury duty over with because I should start applying for jobs and I don't want to have to go when I start working.
Today after church we went to eat at Portofino. I haven't eaten there since I was way younger. It was extremely yummy. That was the only thing I did today. Well, that and church.
Ok, back to watching The Practice. And then some sleepy time. Goodnight.
