In September, when I moved into my apartment, my new cupboards were bare except for two items: Boxes of Jell-O of unknown age and provenance. I hesitated for a long time before eating the mystery Jell-O, fearing the boxes were improvised explosive devices left by the previous regime.
And as it now turns out, they did explode - with fruit flavour, that is. Well worth the six-month wait.
Continuing on the subject of long-overdue indulgences. . . . I'm taking my first real vacation next week, for the occasion of my 24th birthday, by coming home to Ottawa. If any of you would like to help me celebrate the occasion, please tell me how, when and where this can be done. Apart from a doctor's appointment on Tuesday morning and a night at the Charla-elections on Thursday, my schedule is wide open.
