Marietta College
So I looked at the Marietta College Alumni board. Just to see what was happening, if anyone was preggers, any more queens getting married, that sorta thing. I stumbled across something rather disturbing.
Some young woman commented to Tekla (of Dante and Tekla fame, see kimmmmm's Livejournal, October 5th, for details on that one) that they should get working on babies so that her daughter has some MC friends for 2020. WTF?!?!?
If my children, that I don't have and probably will never have because at this moment it's physically inmpossible for that to happen, but who knows with the scientific advances happening everyday, ever asked to go to Marietta I'd a) ask myself where I went wrong b) kill them c) kill myself.
It's not that I hated Marietta. I just hated most of the vapid people that attended school there. It's a school, and an expensive school at that. If you wanna find a husband, do it over the internet like every other normal person. If you wanna play a sport, don't do it a division three school. And if you do play sports at a divison three school, don't walk around like your the cock of the walk (is that the right phrase?) when you only lost by 23 points instead of the regular 62.
I met great friends there. I love them to death. But if my kids ever want to go there...I can't even finish that sentance.
P.S. Kimber: I think we should post a message along the lines of: My domestic partner, Kim Figel (we don't believe in participating in the sanctity of marriage until everyone in the country is allowed to be married and the country has solved this embarrassing divorce problem that destroying the holiness of marriage, are expecting twins at the end of May. What do you think?
