re bikes not starting.. I just wondered how long you have left yours before this happened? I'm sure I only let mine sit for, at most, three weeks, so I was surprised the battery was so drained. But, this is the first bike I've owned with an alarm, and I wonder if that's why it went down so fast?
I think mine's been left for 6-8 weeks as I've not been able to ride for a little while. I don't normally bother to put the alarm on although the immobiliser still drains the battery. It might be worth you investing in a battery charger to keep the battery topped up when you're not using it. Normally this works for me although I'm not sure Dad's charger's working properly. Going to have a play with it tomorrow night & let the engine run for an hour or so. Hopefully that'll do the trick *crosses fingers*
I don't think most bikes manage to charge that much at idle.. I think it'd be better to take it for a good ride for 20 minutes, rather than idle for an hour.. plus it's more fun that way, right? :)
