Oh yeah, I have already met one socialist and two strong socialist sympathizers on my floor (I say socialist sympathizer because I know they have spoke positively of many things socialist, but I have not asked these two their political orientation yet). Also my education as an agent for change teacher seems to have ideologies in many things that are similar to my own and offhandedly mentioned Marx and Engels as a reference for some other topic.

Oh yeah, and I have sandals. it's a sort of declaration that my life is one that at this time it is actually practical to wear sandals. I spend my time indoors, walking distances of less then a mile in areas designed for pedestrians, and sometimes taking a bus into town (free with my student ID). Also the job I am taking is a desk job. I have realized that at this point I won't keep fit simply by living an active lifestyle, and will have to actually compel myself to exercise. My tv is small and is an ordeal to set up to watch when I want to see something, so I have not really watched it at all, so I spend more time with iTunes tuned to a classical music station, lounging in a comfortable chair, and reading books either for classes or pleasure.

Sometimes I feel kind of guilty, like a capitalist or something. Then I realize that if this country got things sorted, all higher education expenses would be paid for by the state for all persons pursuing a college degree, and that in Germany they have it sorted to the point that taking any kind of job during school is simply not done, and most students only take summer jobs when not in classes (where the word arbeiten used to describe the act of working a short-term job, a word stolen by the Japanese).

And what's the deal with a bus circling around campus? It's not that huge of a campus. In the coldest day of winter I won't be so lazy as to use that bus.
