The power supply for my laptop has died. Normally, I would at least attempt to repair such a thing but in this case, I think I'm boned. It's like a solid block of plastic or something. I've been spending a lot more time on that compie because it's got Windows XP in English on the windows partition and I'm taking a class in Visual Basic .net. So I found one in an urgent kind of way for about 77 Euros. That's over $100! I could get one for less than half that in the U.S. but I'm not in the U.S. and I can't really wait for shipping. Grumble.
To make matters worse, all of my bootleg Futurama resides on that compie. Well, at least it died right after the last episode of season 3. When I get my new power supply, I'll begin season 4.
Furthermore, I got my latest re-evaluation from University of Maryland. They point out that I'm nearing graduation (yay!) and advise me that I have to register for said graduation and enclose the small small fee of $50 (boo!). These people piss me off. You'd think that they'd try to be just a little discreet in order to at least put up a front of being all about high-and-mighty intellectual ideas rather than the blood-sucking money mill that they really are.
