I refuse to let anybody (this includes the Dean and faculty of my school) put any barriers or buffers on my internet freedoms.
I'm fairly positive that I have the majority of the student body and the First Amendment behind me in this.
The fact of the matter is, if you limit the ways in which students can express themselves (i.e. banning myspace and livejournal) students are going to find NEW, less ACCEPTABLE ways to express themselves. La Salle is a reletively sheltered school... and I fear that stripping students of the little liberal release they have could turn into a dangerous thing. Keep that in mind before putting a cork in someone's liberty.
I'm not a drinker.
I'm not a stalker.
But I'm not a sucker, either...
I'm feeling threatened by a school in which I'm supposed to feel SAFE,
and neither I,
nor friends (those who didn't pussy out and delete their shit LOLZ)
will stand for it.
You've been warned.
