How do they survive?
Someone in the cube next to mine just told another girl that lorem ipsum text on a document was Latin. It took all the fiber of my being not to be like "are you kidding?" over the cube walls.
At PrePress not a single person had heard of lorem ipsum. I tried to explain it once but they kept insisting it was "some weird German text!" (Linda)
How do you work in publishing and not understand placeholder text?
This is the kind of thing that boggles my mind. And before anyone corrects me, I KNOW it's bits and pieces taken from a Latin text but the standard lorem ipsum is, in fact, gibberish and designed to have no comprehensible meaning.
