Upon arriving at our apartment yesterday after a weekend in Savannah, my future father-in-law recited, "home again, home again, jiggety jig" which caused me to smile as this ditty is a piece of my family tradition, as well. And a fair synopsis of the trip in which the sets of parents met, enjoyed each other, and laughed a lot. Glad for the general sense of familiarity despite the different flavors in our roots.
As expected, we received some pressuring as to the date of our wedding. We generated a list of ideas and have a sense of commitment to make some decisions within the week. Commitment is probably too strong of a word... I feel we ought to... But don't hold your breath.
I'm not sure why I have the "starting back to work feeling" seeing as how I worked through Thursday of last week and have yet to take a significant amount of time off. I have piddled around with this and that, led a rather successful discussion in group on "making changes", and spent some time on the phone catching up with a co-worker who has moved on to bigger and better things.
Need to disassemble holiday decorations.
