"Gott in Himmel!"

Today, there were 3 new emails in my inbox. All three were from my mom. Two were forwards. The first talked about the people on the sides of the roads with signs saying things like, "will work for food," and then asked what you would do if you saw this man. As I scrolled down, I noticed nothing more than a square with a red "x" in the corner. If I saw that man on the side of the road, I'd probably run him over. I hate broken images. The second was a little more meaningful. It was a poem about being thankful for what you have, and about taking for granted simple things in life, like eyes and ears and legs. In all honesty, I know that I have it immensely better than a lot of people in the world. It makes me sad sometimes. I still, however, hate the human race as a whole. The third was a link to a Hallmark e-card. I was skeptical, because there were no holidays or celebrations of any kind any time soon. I clicked the link anyway. It was a dog examining the globe through a magnifying glass. He looks around for a while, then turns to the viewer and exclaims, "Just as I suspected! There's no one in the whole WORLD like you!" followed by a text message along the lines of "I don't know if you've seen this card or not but it was beautiful and made me cry. Thanx, Mom." I dislike myself on several occasions.
