Tonight was absolutely wonderful!
Rarely would I ever say that about an evening... or maybe it was more of a morning, but either way it was incredibly fun.
For the first time in so long I actually had a tremendous tremendous time... the dj played an awesome set and I danced more than I ever have in my entire life. I actually loosened up, even if it was really only feeling natural for about 30 min, and that was unbelievable. Doug E. Fresh kept it real with the VIP and was always on time to stop the sleazy guys from getting too much on this ass. For a guy who never dances he was excellent, good enough to keep me dancing all night. Joy was a perfect dancer as usual, and Renee tore it up when the rap came on and busted the sleaze to the max.
Tonight was too good for words, and I hope there are more like it. I don't know if it was the dancing or who I was dancing with, but both made the top ten list of best things this summer.
I don't know what exactly it was that made me loosen up and have a great time, but I was sober so it had to be the people or the music or both. Either way, I have many thanks.
