Back from the organ performance
It's past midnight, and I just got back from the organ performance. It was held in the ancient Saleys Hall, structured like a chapel. I walked over with some of my friends. The girl to the left is called Aviva and is the talented cellist I mentioned before, the guy right next to me is a resident of Providence and is very energetic. His name is Jon Sung (surprise!). The girl with the flashlight kept flashing it at me. Her name is Jen, and she's also of Taiwanese parentage, although she lived all her life in the US. The guy to the far left is from Singapore. He's called Jerrold. The person taking the pic is Jerrold's roomate, Ding. He's also from Singapore, and he's one serious photographer!
The organ was played by Mark Steinbach. The performance was world-class. Amazing. Did you know that the organ is the only instrument that you need to play with your feet? The sound was profround (hey, that rhymes!). It was a real eye - or should I say, ear - opener. What a day!
I'm off to bed now. Gonna sleep late tomorrow! Hope everyone's doing fine and fitting in. :)
