Photographs TCG is now closed
I'm really sorry to all players who will think this is out of the blue. The last month was extremely stressful for me and though now I am on a break from school and work, my personal life has not provided me with a lot of times for Photos anyway. At first I considered getting a co-owner to help me out run this community that, believe or not, takes some hard work and time; but then I remembered that by September, once school and work start again, I definitely won't have as much time as I did last semester. Then I decided to give it up for adoption to someone else and even ran the idea through the staff, not many replied, but the ones who did were helpful. In the end I decide the best to do is to close down Photographs TCG. I apologize again for the sudden announcement, but I don't think there is an alternative right now.
As all of you, I really love Photographs and enjoy playing this game, but the lack of player activity keeps me from giving the game over to someone else. I've tried making changes: having less games, trying to come up with interesting event ideas, waiting until summer to see if activity picked up, but nothing really worked. The player activity didn't decrease because the community wasn't running either, the games were being posted, services were replied to on time and releases were posted on time, too; yet players left and no donations were being made. As much as it pains me to let people down as the owner and also to leave this game where there are still decks I want to collect, the time has come to close down the game before things get worse.
Again, I can't say how sorry I am enough. I doubt Photographs will open again, but it was an amazing experience to me and I hope you guys won't hate me too much. I suspect some of you be angry and I accept that, you can voice out anything in the comments as always. Thanks to all the players who stuck around until the end and all the moderators and deck makers who made my job easier and the game fun. I will remove posting rights to everyone who has them so no more games will be posted. Players, please do not comment on posts anymore. Moderators, please don't reply to comments anymore either. I re-opened the community out of selfishness, even if I also wanted to play with everyone and in a way I'm also closing it out of selfishness, but I really think this is for the best. Thank you.
