yay! I actually had a quasi-demo tonight, and I think it went fairly well. not a huge order, it was exactly 200 for CPO, but its more than I've done recently. haven't been selling a lot during the school year. trying to keep it to just weekends. which would work a lot better if Eric would actually pay attention when he does the schedules at B&N. me working both Saturday AND Sunday of the same weekend was not what we discussed. and he said I could most likely have Saturday be the day I always have off [where weekends are concerned]. and then I get this shit for this weekend. ick. and Ben (our pilot sales manager) is gonna be all over me this week about doing demos 'cuz its "challenge week". fuck that. I've got school. that takes number one priority.
my trip to Savannah, GA, this past weekend was awesome. I still definately want to go school there. I started my application process, so thats a plus. still a few things that need to be sent in (like my statement of purpose, recomendation letters, and my portfolio), but I'll get that done in time. final due date is March 1st, I believe. plenty of time.
in the mean time, I really need to do a business assignment that I've been putting off for way too long. should go do that now... its kinda due tomorrow at 11am. ick.
it always amazes me how many people offer me alcoholic beverages while I'm on a demo. usually its wine or beer or something. tonight I was offered wine, said no thanks and that I wasn't a wine person, so they offered me tequila! I was sooo tempted. never did mention that I'm still not quite 21 yet; just said I probably shouldn't drink on the job. but they said I was welcome to it if I changed my mind. this job is awesome. I highly suggest y'all call me and get an interview. its different than the average college gig, but its way more fun.
