Scavenger Hunt Sunday

May 30, 2011 12:52

Scavenger Hunt Sunday is weekly photography scavenger hunt. Five themes and/or techniques are presented by the inspiring Ashley Sisk and you have a week to capture it. Taking photos with the hunt items in mind is incredibly challenging. It’s a little bit like work, but that’s what’s good about it. In order to grow as a photographer, one must leave their comfort zone and push their limits. If it’s hard to take five themed photos in one week, then this is a great way to expand your skills!

The five items for last week are: 1) Classic Still Life. 2) Self-Portrait. 3) On the Floor. 4) Lines. 5) Fresh.
Classic Still Life

I’m not sure how classic this is. We went to Mark’s parents’ house on Saturday. I found myself itching to take photos of something, but had no clue what. My mother-in-law collects teapots and has some really gorgeous pieces! So I pulled them off the wall, lined them up and started clicking. The boys were in another room luckily or one of these may have found itself broken!
