Photobucket FINALLY decided to be nice to me so here are the Yosemite/Las Vegas Pictures.
It's absolutely beautiful one of those places that pictures truely dont do justice if you have a chance to go dont pass it up!

i hardly know you and this is probably really rude,
but what you just said was absolutely the most STUPIDEST thing EVER.

The city is NOT AT ALL FILTHY OR DISGUSTING. Of course, if you go into the seedy areas, it'll be gross. just like any OTHER PLACE. The strips is so clean-- they have to keep it clean for tourists, their reputation. Go to New York City, or Atlanta-- then Las Vegas. You tell me which is cleaner.

And I can not even believe you said that all their is is xrated shows, strip joints, cirque de soliel, and have to be 18. WOW. You mustve not DONE ANYTHING BUT DRIVE THROUGH the strip. Okay. Circus Circus has a indoor air conditioned AMUSEMENT park; rollarcoaster, waterrides, EVERYTHING. They have a bungee jumping station as well. MGM also has an amusement park. NewYork NewYork, the Sahara (I believe thats the name), and like 12947 others allll have rolalrcoasters. Bellagio has outdoor water fountains. Paris has the Eiffel tower. Venetian and Casesars Palace BOTH have shopping PLAZAs. Flamingo has a mini zoo complete with flamingos, penguins, and a TON of exotic birds. Treasure Island has an outdoor ship fight, complete with canons, and sinking of ships. They also have an outdoor volcano that erupts ever hour. The Mirage has a HUGe den where you can watch snow lions live. Downtown LV has the Freemont Experience. Every place has buffets. Every place has pools. Every place has restaurants. ALL OF THESE PLACES ARE FOR ALL AGES!!!!

And that is just city-LV. Outside city-LV there is Valley Of Fire, Red Rock Canyon, and the Black River Canyon.

OF COURSE THERE ARE STRIP JOINTS!! Its Las Vegas!!! ITS KNOWN AS SIN CITY.

I have been to LV FIVE times in my life and NEVER HAVE I EVER run out of things to do there. ANd each time I stay at a different hotel, and never do the same things.

Youre opinion on Las Vegas is SO stereotypical. You probably had a preconceived notion of what LV looked like and then just didnt look at the city with your OWN eyes.

Dont go and tell people what you thought of las vegas, because people who have been there will tell you you are an IDIOT, and people who dont, and then go to LV will think of how stupid you are.

Plus, you only have ONE picture of LV so Im guessing you didnt stay too long to really see anything but strip joint ads on the tops of Taxis, and people trying to hand out porn magazines.

Honestly, I am totally blown away about how you wrote about LV.

Wow i wrote a few sentences just saying it's not all it's cracked up to be.
first of all it's an opinion, i'm not forcing it on anyone and i'm not forcing anyone to read it i'm sorry if my opinion doesnt match up with yours
Second of all i was in vegas in the very end of this trip and i didnt have may pictures or battery left.

And i have been to other cities, i dont remember cards of topless girls sticking to my shoes anywhere else. The streets were littered with the magazines.

Second the gondolas, the rollar coasters, the sharks, everything is about $20.

I apologize, didnt go to the other end at circus circus and i didnt include the tigers at the mirage, the fountains, the pirate show that last of all 5 minutes and then you're bored again... i'm sorry my small statement wasnt thorough enough for you.

Freemont street sucked IN MY OPINION (i dont want to influenece all of the world not to go to freemont street cause i said so) But it was cramped and the roof inclosed all the air so it smelled horrible in the heat and it was tough to breathe cause everyone was smoking. The shows were mostly commercials for gambling and girls in tight shirts pranced around a lot, not my type of entertainment sorry, there was one decent entertaining show and again only lasted about 2 minutes... and then you had to find something to do for a half hour until the next show came on. there were no side vendors, maybe there are usually but none when i was there so that is what i'm basing my opinion on.

Night shows, unless you have tickets far in advance we looked and we found nothing to go to except 18 + comic shows which i wasnt saying was smut... i just was saying that i personally could not go to... WAIT you could see a virtual reality tour of the titanic under water at the flamigoo but sorry i didnt want to pay $30 to watch that.

and i saw hoover dam and went on a desert tour years ago when i went before. i'm sorry had i know this would have upset you this much i would have made a footnote so everyone could know there was that to do also.

i'm sorry but honestly you need to get off your high horse it's all a matter of opinion and perception... you aren't god and your opinions arent golden.

You indeed said more than "its not more than its cracked up to be." read for yourself.

And no, you are forcing your opinion. You know your knoweldge of LV is limited and you only saw a little bit. So why would you EVER tell someone about it as if you knew it all? And dont even try to say you didnt sound patronizing and know-it-allish.

And like I said earlier, of course there are porn magazines everywhere. It is las vegas. However, I never saw any homeless people on the strip, which is something you find all over NYC.

Gondolas are probably more than 20. I bet they are more than 20 in providence at water fire too.
Rollarcoaster at NY,NY was about 12. The tigers and pirate ship and volcano are all free. The indoor amusement park is about 25, a lot cheaper than 6flags.

And it doesnt MATTER if you didnt like it. You told someone there was NOTHING ELSE TO DO UNLESS YOU WERE 18. Whether or not it lasted 5 minutes, it still existed.

Freemont street is obviously stupid. Its downtown las vegas's only attraction left. they have show girls and elvis impersonators around, and if thats not you thing, why are you in LV???

Okay. I went to LV in JULY.....one of two of their busiest months and I got tickets to go see Lance Burton the DAY of the show. With relatively good seats. of course, they tickets were about $75, but what do you expect to pay?

Do you go to broadway and expect to see a show for two dollars? I certainly hope not. And do you go to broadway with NO tickets in advance hoping to get in? I again certainly hope not. Why didnt you plan this?

I in NO way want ANYONE to think that my opinions are right. I just want people to know YOUR OPINION was VERY judgemental. There is TONS to do in LV. Just get a book aboiut it, or visit the LV tourism website.

If you dont look for fun, and look for things to do, you wont FIND anything. Stuff just doesnt come to you.

And its absolutely immature to tell people things that are false.

Flat out, the impression you gave (and even you cant deny this) was false. There ARE things to do being under 18. The city is NOT as dirty as you claimed.

So why didnt you just say "I didnt really like it, and I didnt enjoy what I did there too much, but I didnt really have time to check other things out."

and trust me, I know my comment was totally unneccesary and rude, but I was mad at the time being. and I just hope you can see WHY i was mad, and perhaps learn fro mthis experience we call LiveJournal.

Okay, people have their own opinions of things. I'm sure you have more than a few opinions that no one else agrees with. Kacie's view of Las Vegas is completely different than yours..so what? Why feel the need to comment about how wrong YOU THINK she is. This is her journal and her opinions. You have your own journal, and you can complain about the stereotypical views of Las Vegas in there.

of course I do. and of course she does. But it isnt hers to make in fun of. and it isnt hers to judge when she doesnt know. would you make in fun of the way a teacher teaches a class...that you've never even attended? No.

If kacie had spent a week in LV and actually walked around and saw everything, she wouldnt have said half of what she did. Thats what it comes down to, and its rude that she thinks she has the ... knowledge to inform other people when she doesnt. Not saying she isnt capable, just saying she doesnt know.
