Big Sandy

Big Sandy & His Fly-Rite Boys were excellent! They played two sets with like a half hour break inbetween. the bad part about that was I got hit on by a 40something year old guy during that time. yuck. that guy finally left. hooray! and then Big Sandy went back on. during one of his songs pretty much anyone who was there with someone was dancing(it was a slow song) and he made eye contact with me. i think he was trying to get me to go out and dance. not too long after that I go thit on by a 25 year old guy. I've seen him at pretty much every rockabilly show I've ever gone to. he introduced me to his friends and I spent the rest of the show surrounded by them. he actually asked me to dance! I felt like it was a big deal. i've never seen him on the dance floor ever and one of his friends is a really good dancer and she likes to teach boys to dance. the fact that he tried was really nice. I got a picture with Big Sandy and said a few words to him. yes, he did actually see me during the previously mentioned song. so it was a good birthday gift to myself - the show. ended up at 5 & Diner with the guy and his friends. got home around 4AM. darn the internet for taking up the last 2 hours! I could have gotten more sleep.
I'm cooking a turkey for the first time. it should be interesting. then I'm going to see Walk The Line for the second time. I guess I have a date tonight. imagine that :)
