I forgot to post the BCS Bowl Game predictions

I thought I did right before I left for LA but I guess not. You’ll just have to take my word on it:

Ohio State over Notre Dame
Notre Dame gets the hype being from south bend and more often than not people forget that they only beat a few teams this year that have winning records. This game will be a bit of a proxy test for the Nat Championship since these two were the closest games faced by USC and Texas all year. I think OSU comes up big in this one, they are a great team defensively and I think that will make the difference overall. Troy Smith is only getting better and more comfortable as the year goes on.

Georgia over WVU
I think Georgia is the better team here even with the injuries. They have to mentally get WVU out of the game early though in order to prevent a possible close game.

Penn State vs Florida State
JoPa and Bowden should just duke it out at halftime wailing on each other in a senior citizen spectacular. Penn State is the obvious favorite here. I think they will come up big in the game.

The biggun-

UT VS USC (aka ESPN’s personal religious icon)

This should really be a great game. If only I was going to be there to document it for you guys. Watching TV this last week has really been a surprise for me. Did you know UT already lost the game? I didn’t realize we had played yet but for the last week ESPN has been running a show at night comparing the Trojans to some of the most dominant football teams of all time and more often than not, predicting them to beat them. I know they are good, their offense may be the best seen in quite some time, but would ESPN please please wait until after the game before proclaiming USC the greatest team, nay greateds group of people to ever walk the face of the earth.

You would think USC was about to go out and play Temple for the national title. I’m not sure what else UT had to do this year to get a little pregame respect from the media. Top 10 defense and 50ppg average isn’t apparently good enough. No, USC is ready to beat the Colts apparently, probably shut them out too. Im not saying I don’t think USC is a great team, just that all this hupla is a bit early. Its not like either team hasn’t had its close games. USC really did need every one of those 500+ yards Bush got on Fresno St. to win that game, UT barely pulled it out against OSU. And if anyone doesn’t think those last few plays of the Notre Dame game didn’t need a little luck are fooling themselves.

I think the two most important aspects of the game will be the turnovers and defensive play. Both teams can score, but UT has played more consistent defense over the course of the year. However, UT is also know to give up more than its fair share of fumbles and interception. If USC gets in a groove early defensively, UT could be in for as long of a night as OU had one year prior. I’m going to take UT to win this one because they are such a great team that is going in so underappreciated. Good luck horns.
