The first anime I ever saw was Sailor Moon. I was around 5-6 years old at the time and I didn't know what anime was until I got into Pokemon a few years later.

I only knew that I absolutely loved the stories and characters and they were much more deep and attention-catching that American cartoons. So I quickly became obsessed from a young age.

card captor sakura was my first manga, but my first real fandom was fruits basket, followed shortly by shaman king. those two really got me into manga/anime!!

Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure Digimon is what got me into shipping, too...
