A community made to help raise funds for relief, while now it's focusing on hurricane Katrina.
There are a few major projects being done here, but the one I'm posting about is a book that is being compiled of photographs, poems, artwork, short stories, etc.
Mainly, the idea is to publish a book filled with tributes to the Gulf Coast cities affected by Hurricane Katrina. We're working out deals with many distros in the U.S. who will carry the book, free of charge, to raise money for TSA & TRC. So it's really a good opportunity for artists to get publicity as we've got contacts for distros from libraries in Orlando to distros in Chicago.
Also, remember that any photo can become a tribute when paired with some writing ...
We're taking ANYTHING. We want to FILL THIS BOOK... I'm approaching some schools in the area to see if their students would like to contribute and I urge you to do the same. If we have too many entries to fill a book, then we'll make a second volume! We're taking short stories, poetry, sketches, doodles, photographs, polaroids, paintings, long stories, blurbs, journal entries, really anything and everything.
Here is the entry link for more information. Any work you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and as stated before, it's a good place for artists to get publicity. I'm contributing some things and I encourage you to do the same.
