Photo 361: Sequence/Narrative: Final : Seven Deadly Sins

Dec 02, 2007 11:34

So, it has been a very long time since I've made a real photo post but that's because I've been too busy working on it all to get anything posted here.

Right now I'm working on my final project for Intermediate photography I. The project is for a sequence/narrative and I chose to do the Seven Deadly Sins as I have been wanting to do so since I took beginning. Samantha angel___wings was my model and I really was very happy with how they all came out. :)

I don't have any final prints of the images as I haven't quite gotten to the final stages of presentation but I do have an overview of the basic images I'm creating. Because of the way I'm presenting them and their size, I can't get any good scans of them but I will definitely take some photos / slides of them when I'm done.

So, on to the WIP.

I know the scans are terrible. My scanner sucks. D:

And this is how they look after printing (again, excuse the crappy scan).

I printed them on 11x14 Ilford Warmtone MG Fiber paper with a 9x12 mat cut and laid in the easel to create the oval. I'm toning them in Selenium to give them a bit more contrast and a reddish hue in the shadows. I then am going to mount them onto a mdf/hardwood plaque, varnish them, put a lacquer on top of the image, and (hopefully) put them in some larger oval frames.

I just have to get all that done today since my crit is tomorrow at 1:00pm. The process has taken way longer than I anticipated. I was supposed to be finished printing Friday but because of the mass amount of people and about 716501760 other factors, I have one last print to complete today then tone everything and attempt to get the mounting completed this evening.

Wish me luck. :)
