Three on the chic Greeks, Eurydice is mine, both Icarii are from
snowyofthenight.
i. Eurydice; complimentary
She found that death was more complimentary than life; with no serpent, with no mournful ballads, with no hopeless quest, his love might not have lasted as long as her unflattered life.
ii. Icarus; trap (by
snowyofthenight)
Icarus would always lose when he and Perdix would race, always answer a bit more slowly when Father would ask the both of them a question, always be the one, when they tried to trap fluttering bugs betwixt their palms, to crush his by accident; and though Perdix had long since gone away (Father never said where), as soon as he felt the wings upon his back, Icarus's heart soared and he could not wait to show Papa that he, too, could fly.
iii. Icarus; tilt (by
snowyofthenight)
Icarus loves running, charging at full tilt down the street or through a corridor, usually stumbling and falling, but always picking himself back up again just as soon as he can (it feels like flying).
