We’re back! We got home last night.
Christmas was wonderful. I am so spoiled. Goodness sakes what did I do to deserve such a wonderful husband. Christmas I was spoiled beyond belief with pajamas, bath sets, a full body massage mat, new curling iron -- all kinds of stuff that I needed and a new video camera!!! (We weren’t suppose to spend any money for x mas because of vacation, HAH) With all Ricky’s extra work he did because is dad got sick put us pretty good money wise. By the way all his dads results came back, NO CANCER. No cancer in the growth or anywhere else in his body. The Dr’s have never seen a colon mass that big and it not be cancer so they are publishing something about it in a medical journal. Interesting.
I video taped our whole vacation with my new video camera which was wonderful as well. I’m knee deep in suit cases, laundry and kids right now. Ricky is already back to work. In 9 days we rode on 5 airplanes, one which included a stop in Mexico city. Holy crap is that place huge. We are exhausted and almost think it’s not worth it. Until we sit down and look at the photos. It was so worth it. And we have a whole year to recuperate and do it all again next year. (Although we are trying to get everyone to come here next year for a family reunion instead of a long expensive trip.)
The resort we stayed at was heaven. We met some of the nicest and happiest people in the world. The staff was not only great looking but kind and wonderful. Seriously we could not believe it! It was like a movie.
Best part of the trip was that they wanted our 8 individual rooms to rent out of other individual customers and put my whole family in two side by side penthouses! These are two suites in which we had originally wanted to book for all of us but one is 2500$ and the other 1300$ per-freaking-night! So we were like forget it! But we lucked out big time and got them anyway! Each side had 3 bedrooms, a hot tub and huge patios, full kitchen, washer/dryer, dining room. It was heavenly!
We parasailed, snorkeled, went on a pirate ship ride, jet skied, laid on the beach, bought tons of hand made things from venders on the beach and ate (and drank) until we burst.
We didn’t end up with internet in our room but there was a internet café which we never made it to because we were having way to much fun. I did bring my wedding dress like I had planned and surprised Ricky! I hired the hotel photographer to take pictures. The best 200$ we spent, I think. At first I wasn’t sure but I was really glad in the end that we did it. We was great. He shoots whatever we want and gives us the picture disk.
When we got back to Vegas Jan 1 and 2 we pigged out on sushi and rested.
I hope I’ll find the time to write about individual days so I have the memories day by day written down but for now this will have to do. Luckily pictures speak a 1000 words. I hope all of my friends on LJ are good. I’m not sure if I’ll ever get caught up on LJ. I have a lot of unpacking and homeschooling to do.
Right now I'm still on cloud nine.
