it's amazing that the people i least expected to remember my birthday actually called me and made my day. and yet, the people i once loved, the people that i went out of my way for so much do not even call, do not even remember that i baked cupcakes on their birthday, that i missed my cousin's graduation to surprise them at dinner, that i gave my whole heart to them.
it almost makes me laugh, how silly, how unbelieavably sad.
but all the wonderful girls & boys that did remember, people in los angeles, people in san francisco, the girl in ireland, the girl in pennsylvania, these are the people that remind me how good life can be.
