I don't recall if I've posted previously about
The Daily Love. I heard about it from my friend Romi. I receive their email newsletter everyday. The guy who runs it, Mastin, writes an entry every day. I also
follow him on twitter, and find myself wanting to retweet just about everything he posts -- quote-wise, and adding a lot of things as favorites, because they've insightful & meaningful, & just hit home a lot of the times.
Reading this blog/newsletter also helps with my introspection "journey" that I've been on for a while. The one where I have been taking time to myself and just trying to work on me. Also, the one where I've been working out at the gym regularly (even waking early to do so!), doing things on a whim (concerts), traveling to places on a whim (Florida), and the like. Things that I don't normally do, but have decided "What The Hell!".. Life is too short and I haven't been enjoying myself enough. So yeah. I like this new & improved me. Haha.. It's not really that, just a little bit more spontaneous, I guess. Not sure how to explain it.. But, I like it, and am happy with it.
Anywho, I just read this & wanted to share:
A little boy was having difficulty lifting a heavy stone.
His father came along just then.
Noting the boy's failure, he asked, "Are you using all your strength?"
"Yes, I am," the little boy said impatiently.
"No, you are not," the father answered.
"I am right here just waiting, and you haven't asked me to help you." - Anon
