Art, chocolate and shakuhachi

Went to an Art Show opening at the Glebe Library Friday night. A friend of mine works there and her partner had some photos displayed. Got to mill around and be artsy and fartsy looking at art and drinking wine and nibbling cheese. Rah rah. Followed by dinner at the Toxteth in the upstairs room with fabulous views towards the City and political memorabilia on the wall.

Sunday afternoon, Rob and I met friends at the Aroma Festival at the Rocks. It was huge and a lovely sunny winter day. There were 2 or 3 stages with live music and lots and lots of stalls selling coffee, tea, chocolate and other yummies. So crowded but managed to get choc-coated-strawberries-on-a-stick and some spicy chai tea. Nom nom.

Performed at the Shakuhachi Festival at the Sydney Con on Sunday evening. With dinner at Wagamama between the sound check and the performance. Very fitting. Made me think of Canticum's trip to Japan. Can't believe that was 3 years ago. Wore my lovely Japanese silk scarf and xen temple beads and thought of my brief shining moment as an almost-professional musician :)

What a huge day. But so interesting and fun.
