Taking a break from my usual habit of posting only to display how I pine for Lexi...
I've been getting the weirdest obsessions lately for minor fandom characters. Like... just about any human in Halo that isn't Master Chief, and Los Hermanos Numeros from Angel. This is not an entirely new thing: I have, in fact, gone so far as to RP one of the space cockroaches from Godzilla on Monster Island (because any Godzilla character that isn't a daikaiju, Dr. Serizawa, or Miki Saegusa is a minor character, even if they're the main villain of a given movie). But Angel and Halo aren't even my fandoms. What's up with that?
Actually, I think I kind of know the deal with Halo... it's those damn Halo 3 commercials with the ridiculously good diorama and the Chopin music. Keeps making me want to make up stories for all the other guys... especially that one guy, crouched behind the rock with his gun raised up kind of half-blocking his face. Sorta looks like he's about to pop out and prove it's not just about MC, and he's resigning himself to his quite possible death--blaze of glory death, but still death. Or maybe I'm just crazy.
Anybody else ever get a mental barnacle from a strange fandom like this?
