So do other people get to this point in there life and just really think what the fuck are they doing? It's like I have 3.5 years of collage done with and I am farther from knowing what I want to do now than from when I started. Let's look at my list of ideas since starting ( Read more... )

So you've wanted to be a lot of things in your life. This means that you want to experience all that the world has to offer. Nobody has all the answers, especially in college. The fact that you've changed your mind a lot means that you've grown and that you're interested in a lot of things in this world. It's a good thing.

In all honesty, I'm jealous of the people who jumped to new majors more than once or twice. I've known what I've wanted to do for a long time. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but in a way I feel like I've been gipped. After uncertainty comes a certain knowledge and confidence that you're truly going to do exactly what you want. Think of it this way: you're getting your crisis over with now--I'm going to have my crisis later on in life.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is to not focus on this one negative thing. You're doing more now than a lot of people do their entire lives. I understand your frustration. I've felt it, too. It'll pass. With me, I just readjusted the focus a bit. Maybe that's all you need. If you need to talk or drink yourself into oblivion or anything, let me know. You rock--don't ever forget that.

you might think I am doing more than a lot people ever will, I just think I am wasting time. To use a horse racing analogy, I am running with blinkers and have no jockey. No wonder I can't finish the race.

I know that nothing I say will help you to feel better. I know how you're feeling, though. I think we all go through something like this while in college. You'll pull through. I won't say anymore because I know that you like to have the final word. =)

it's not so much that this is something I am going through. It more so feels like something that has been going on for almost 2 years.
