Stuff
Been quite awhile since I've written in my livejournal (aren't you all lucky ;P).
At the moment I'm in the middle of a week off from work, which has been since Thursday, until next Wednesday!
So far it has been raining so I haven't had the chance to go and check out the beach and swim but I shall be doing that tomorrow possibly, depending on my shopping trip.
I was supposed to be attending a wedding which nuka_cola invited me to but it seems that's off now so I'll be going to a friend's birthday party in the evening at a swanky restaurant in Double Bay:D
On Thursday I went with a friend and bought computer parts for my NEW computer - hooray! I've decided to go for a shuttle, which are basic small computers. refund_ might like to know what is has: AMD64 3000, 1024megs DDR400 ram (i think its 400), 250 gig Sata HD w/8meg cache, 16x dual layer pioneer dvd burner and just waiting to pick up a vid card which will be an Gecube x800pro(vivo) 256meg ram. I am quite excited. After another week or so I'll grab a scanner which will more than likely be a Canon middle of the range model so I can start scanning in illustrations for rendering. I've had such a bugger of a time finding a video card that can fit in my new computer since it has much smaller dimensions than a regular tower.
Before I started my week off I was supposed to hear about how I had gone with my application for a new position within my company. Unfortunately the person that conducted the interviews is still doing so, so I have to wait until the end of my week off. *fingers crossed* I would love a promotion, the extra responsibility and money ;)
I'll be heading in to the city tomorrow (Sat) to go pick up my video card and hopefully find some interesting things to go and do/look at while I'm there. Unless its a sunny day then I'm heading straight to the beach!!
I noticed that Popcorn Taxi is doing a screening of Saw on 1st Dec. I'm really keen to check out this film, anyone else interested? :)
