What does that spell? Pooperdoodle! I was talking with one of my friends, Esther, and we were wondering how snickerdoodles came about. We thought it was stupid how they don't actually have snicker bits in them, although I thought I recall having some kind of cookie with snicker bits in them before... guess it wasn't the snickerdoodle though. So we thought that we should just come up with our own cookies and give them weird names and with that thought, the "pooperdoodle" was born, made with real poop! ;)
From poopy dough...
to poopy balls...
to poop-a-plenty pooperdoodles...
to pooperdoodle delight!
This is an original recipe... as far as I know pooperdoodles did not exist until this creation. I used my knowledge of baking to create this concoction. Did you know that brown sugar has more moisture than white sugar thus it will create a soft and chewie feel to the cookie? Also, white sugar will create a flatter and crispier cookie. Didn't know that? Well now you know and knowing is half the battle!
I got the brown color in the cookies by adding cocoa powder to the dough mix. As for the ratio of ingredients, that's a trade secret! I actually didn't write down this recipe so I'll have to wing it next time I make them so the first batch is one of a kind. The pooperdoodles also had some cracks that I'll try to work out in the next batch. I think I know what to do, either bake for less time or try a lower heat setting. Perhaps next time I'll actually make them look like poop bits too...
