Trying to get to the crosswalk corner
Cars rush by
Despite the "Yield to Pedestrians" sign
None stop except for a nice bus
Walking commences
Thank you wave sent to the Mr. Bus Driver
BMW rushes out of nowhere
Inches
Quick step and a hop
Glare thrown
Obscenity shouted
Walk resumed
Thankful

People really have no etiquette these days. A sign is placed before this crosswalk corner that clearly states, "Yield to Pedestrians," but cars just zoom on by to make a right turn even though I was waiting there to cross it. Luckily a bus stopped for me. Unluckily for me a BMW tried to zoom through. He saw me and began to slow down, but it was a little too late. I began to sprint in the same direction the BMW was heading and managed to stay a few steps ahead of it in order to make the jump safely to the intersection corner where I would be safe. Maybe I should have just stopped in front of the bus since I was closer to the bus than the corner, but my reflexes yearned me to move forward not backwards. Inches... that's what seperated me and the BMW. Who knew you could relive your life in a mere instant... I hope I don't have too many of those at least not experienced in that fashion.
