So, there's a public apology from the CEO hereThere are some issues with ridiculously vague wording but I'm willing to give them a chance and wait. Hopefully, things will be cleared up later on
( Read more... )
Yeah, really vague wording in some places, and... I don't quite know what to think, but like you I'm much too tired at the moment to be coherent about the issue. I'm not really willing to leave, either. Lj *is* Fandom for me, and I love Fandom. If Fandom were to move, I'd of course come with, but... Not as the first. Not because I have anything against being a trend-setter (*grins*), but because I love the people I read on LJ.
I think I may have mentioned his habit of playing loud techno/rap. But in addition to that, he's never cleaned the kitchen or commom room when it was his turn and he didn't help with the spring cleaning (he cleaned his own room instead). We also suspect him of causing much of the constant mess in the kitchen *and* possibly of stealing/having some friends steal a scooter that belonged to a friend of someone who lives here. But we can't prove anything and the police probably just look at the report, see "Skjoldhøjkollegiet" and toss it aside.
But yay! Now he's gone and I suspect I'll move out soon as well. In a couple of months, maybe.
It's incredible how much better your opportunities are when you are *two* people looking for a place to live through Kollegiekontoret. I can highly recommend it.
Jesus. It's a good thing you're getting rid of him, then.
So soon? Great! Do you have any idea where to?
I always suspected it was easier, and I admit that it's how I'd prefer to get accomodation, too - basically, I think I'd get too lonely, living on my own, so I just really want to find a friend who wants to share an apartment where we don't get in each other's way, but are still *around* each other, if you know what I mean.
We have applied for kollegier in the area that kollegie8000.dk calls Nord 1 - some in the area around Storcenter Nord (which could be awesome), some near Danmarks Journalisthøjskole which would... make me get some more exercise. Because one of the criteria was that I should be able to walk to Uni, even if it took me 20-25 minutes.
I know exactly what you mean, yeah. It hasn't been too bad but sometimes I do need someone around to just *be* there and be human.
Your "angsting" should strike terror into a whole other breed of people. It was not long time ago, where we were absolutely sure, that Orwell was only a well-thought of fiction, and that this here would never ever fucking happen. So when reasonably intelligent, non-tinhatty people like you are grabbed by the cold hand around your heart, then something prior has happened which make you deduct, such a scenerey was possible. So those people, who thought, they were guarding free speech and are against censorshiop of arts, have failed massively, if you can ever think, such things may happen. I think, it is a very valid concern, if suddenly some religious nut jobs many thousand kilometers from here may impact your leisure time life in a negative way, when one just looks at the events in latest years (and I'm not just talking the cartoon row) Just my sexy two Euro-cents.
