Saddened by Death
I'm a member of Discord server Just Write under the name White Phoenix, a server for fanfiction authors which is owned/run by Keira Marcos. She posted this sad news July 26 which I just read today. She asked her readers to spread this news to other sites they use in order to get the news out to as many fans as possible. This is Keira's post.
I am deeply saddened to inform you that Sorka42 (https://archiveofourown.org/users/Sorka42/profile) passed away on July 20th of Stage 4 ovarian cancer. Her illness was discovered too late and had spread too far for treatment. We grieve with her family.
I ask that you be incredibly kind in your comments on her works going forward.
Also, this is a hurtful reminder to please, please get regular check ups and cancer screenings.
I don't know if Sorka42 ever posted here on LiveJournal but she's been writing for a long time. She's been a member of AO3 since 2011 and she'll be missed.
