I have now applied to 20 different jobs. I've done one interview at Walgreens last week, and another one today at Sears Portrait Studio. The job at SPS looks like it might be a go because she scheduled me for a second interview with her assistant manager for tomorrow at 2pm. I'll be happy to get back to work and start earning money again, although I'm still nervous about starting something new.
Things at the church I'm attending are great. I really like the people and the atmosphere there, even if I don't 100% agree with their views on everything. Next week is our church's Vacation Bible School, and my stepmom is helping out doing the snacks, so I'm going with her. I went to Sunday School this past Sunday with my age group, categorized as 'college & career' but I didn't really feel comfortable in there. I was expecting more of a discussion group but all they do is read right out of the bible which I found to be a bit boring. Even though, I can understand why they're doing it...they're trying to finish the whole bible in 6 months. Ronnie says that since I didn't feel comfortable in there I can join in her group, Adult I. They're mostly married couples and mothers in their 30's and 40's but I still think I'll like that group better as they have discussions on different topics every week. I hate saying it but when I was with my age group, I felt older than all of them, like I just didn't have the same issues that they do. But like Ronnie said, with the situations I've been in since I was a child, I was forced to grow up fast and was primarily around adults that's why I probably relate better to her age group (she's only 35).
Anyway, that's what's going on in corn field land. I'll update tomorrow after the interview!
