#1: Hellfire (Hunchback of Notredame)

When I was little I thought this was just an evil-sounding song. Now I'm older, I can see how sexually charged it actually is. Frollo is torn between his lust for Esmeralda and his faith. It's pretty dark stuff for a Disney movie. The animation deserves a special mention; most Disney songs have elaborate setpieces, but for Hellfire it's just Frollo in a room, so the focus is entirely on him. There's so much raw emotion in this song. Brr, gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
#2: Be Prepared (The Lion King)

Scar is such a great villain. He doesn't have any special powers, he's not particularly strong, so he gets his own way by manipulation and deceit. This song perfectly matches his character, all sly and creeping. The use of colour as the song builds up towards the end is nicely done. Big shout out to the Nazi hyenas!
#3: Lullaby (The Lion King 2)

A lullaby to sing a child to sleep is turned into a song of death and vengeance. Zira's voice is spot on here. You can honestly believe that she's truly pitiless, driven mad with grief and hatred. It's a shame she and Scar didn't appear in the same film; the two of them were a perfect match and it would have been great to see their interaction. Also starring Nuka, whom I love to pieces, and a sly reference at the end to Be Prepared.
#4: I'm Still Here (Treasure Planet)

I know Treasure Planet bombed at the box office, but personally I really liked it. One thing I realised though whilst watching it...Jim Hawkings is pretty much Stuart. It was like watching a film that had him as a main character. So in a way, this is Stuart's theme song too. And a nice song it is too.
#5: We Are One (The Lion King 2)

It's scary how well Matthew Brodrick can sing. Anyway, this song is lovely. It's both uplifting and depressing at the same time. As Kiara aptly puts it, can you still be yourself if everybody is one?
#6: Savages (Pocahontas)

The big turning point of the film, where relations have broken down and it dissolves to war. When I was little I noticed, but didn't really understand, the irony of both sides claiming the other is evil and savage. Always relevant.
#7: Zero to Hero (Hercules)

WHO PUT THE GLAD IN GLADIATOR? HERCULES!
This video cracks me up every time I watch it. Air-Hercs, *snicker*
#8: True To Your Heart (Mulan)

Let's get some cheese in here. This is the end credit song, so you get the official video. Oh man, just look at that boyband. They're certainly the cool kids on the block. But Stevie Wonder's in it, so it's not all bad.
#9: Kill The Beast (Beauty and the Beast)

Oh come on, how can you not love Gaston? Loads of other villains do what they do because they're evil or want power; Gaston does it because he's in love with himself. It's hilarious. Plus you gotta admire that man's ability to whip up an angry mob like that.
