License to jump
As of the past Sunday (2017Jul16), I am now a licensed skydiver.
The degree to which I will continue this sport is not decided. On the plane ride up during my first jump last Sunday, I was actually thinking to myself that I almost definitely wasn't going to keep doing this once I got my license (based mostly on a risk-vs-reward assessment), and that the license itself was going to be a "Mission accomplished; now I can stop" sort of thing. But once I shook the cobwebs out, I felt differently.
I'm kinda thinking that I'll at least keep doing this until I get my B license, which will probably be next summer-ish I imagine (a minimum of another 25 jumps, plus a few supplemental courses/exercises are required). Then I'll reassess my continued interest.
