Dinner at Zen.

Before i start with the pictures, will talk a bit. Or rather, type.

Yes, i know that i've disappeared from my LJ account long enough, i'm disappointed with myself. But.. *brightens up* i had a creative streak today, or rather, i went camera-crazy.

Bro got straight A's for his PMR, and aunt's birthday is tomorrow, so dad took all of us (including Singaporean aunt and uncle) to Zen in Sunway for dinner. Brought the camera along, so you understand why there's a sudden mass of photographs. xD

This first one is my empty bowl that used to contain udon with soup, and japanese fishballs, and the usual veggies you can find in a typical japanese soup noodle. Yummy.

This second piece is very Yeang-ish. My bro and dad take pride in the fact that they fight, tooth and nail, for the food. So yesh, a tribute to the fact that i am indeed, a Yeang. =]

And yes, i do realise that i mis-spelt 'siblings'.

It's just my bro and i, fighting over Saba fish. Just imagine a 'Goku and Gojyo fighting over the last dumpling' scene from Saiyuki. xD

This is an interesting one.

We had all pretty much finished our dinner, but bro was still hungry, so we were all waiting for his cold Soba noodles to come. Was bored, so scanned the table for more subjects to photograph. Then spotted mummy's chopstick holder (y'know, the thingy that you lean your chopstick on when you're not using them.). Mummy being mummy, loves wasabi, had hers smeared with the afore mentioned sauce. Then realised that there was this smear of wasabi on it that formed a heart shape.

A tribute to my parents' love for wasabi.

[Dad and waiter's conversation]

Waiter: *reads out our orders, looks up*  Is there anything else?

Dad: Yeah! Our two mountains of wasabi!

Waiter: *laughs* Yes, sir.

(later, after the two saucers of wasabi mounds were put on our table.)

Dad: *jokingly* You call this a mountain? Haiyah!

Waiter: Uncle, nowadays, we have very few mountains! More hills than anything!

Dad: If i finish these "hills", then dinner is free, okay?

Lyn: o.O

Ngek.
