You will all (I'm sure) be relieved to know that the Simson family is intact today and doing well. As well as can be expected, at any rate.
Katie did recover from her depression and survived her second pregnancy. Second born baby girl Merrick is healthy and happy. Now as a toddler, she has learned to talk but walking still eludes her.
Hard at work as ever, Type-A Jordan brought home a co-worker last night (Lisa). As his devoted daughter, Jasmine, raced out to welcome him home, this new "friend" of the family headed straight to the hot tub. Jordan joined her immediately after. Katie sensed trouble brewing. She decided to join them and the three shared a pleasant conversation while relaxing the days troubles away. When Lisa began flirtatiously splashing at Jordan, Katie moved over and commenced the kind of cuddling and kissing that makes a Sim forget all else! Lisa didn't stay much longer after that.
Well, nature took it's course that night. Katie, the most fertile Sim ever, got knocked up (again!).
Jordan's hard work and perseverance paid off as he was once more promoted to Executive at his company. The bonus simoleans he brought home with this promotion were put to good use in renovating the house a bit. With two small children and another baby on the way it was clear that one bedroom and one bathroom were just not going to cut it any longer. Now the children have their own bedroom and bathroom to share. First born Jasmine has been feeling bored and lonely and has developed a weight problem. So the remainder of Jordan's bonus was spent on installing a small swimming pool out in the yard.
Katie fell into her usual pregnancy funk. This time, the results were pretty dramatic. Katie did not actually survive the pregnancy. But Jordan - ever the quick thinker - pleaded with Death and had Katie restored to life. The as yet unborn third child was apparently unaffected by the ordeal, but first-born Jasmine may have been scarred for life by seeing her mother lying dead on the kitchen floor.
Shortly after that Katie gave birth to not one but TWO bouncing babies! Yes, twins. A boy, Kyle, and a girl, Brooke. Poor Jordan is now supporting a perpetually depressed layabout wife, a child, a toddler who can't manage to walk, and two babies.
To make matters worse, he was demoted again to Junior Executive.
At least they don't have to share one toilet.
