For those of you who support a man who cares for nothing but the size of his wallet - I also assume you agree with his belief that it's his divine right by God to be our President?

First of all, there is never, ever a good reason to mix politics with religion. The separation of church and state is an important instituion - religion is a personal choice that people make, and although it should be rejoyced and celebrated it should be done WITHIN A PERSON'S OWN SPACE, and never pushed upon another person or people. Soon enough, gay marriage will be banned (there goes one civil right out the window, thank you for suggesting it because those 'homosexual sinners' are SUCH a threat to the integrity of the nation), abortion will also be banned (not quite a civil right, but Bush isn't even a woman, so he has no idea what childbirth is like, nor the consequences of this action), and praying could eventually become instituted in school (oh HELL no).

Secondly, it is a pathetic, sad day when half of a nation accepts a dictator back into office with open arms. A dictator who not only BLATANTLY LIED to their faces but later admited it. Nothing was done, no one cared, no one took action or offence. What is up with that? Where are the WMD? Where is Osama Bin Laden, the REAL mastermind behind 9/11 that he promised to deliver unto us? Saddam, although a plasuible threat more than justifying his removal, was in no way connected to 9/11. Perhaps Saddam is still moving the WMD around to avoid their discovery, perhaps they're in another country, perhaps there was never really any at all. But until then, I stand firm that this was just another lie. Guilty until proven innocent.

Thirdly, hundreds of billions of dollars rightfully belonging to the American people should have been funneled into many thousands of different channels funding education, healthcare, aid for the homeless and poor, disease research (like Cancer and AIDS), medicinal technology, and perhaps even going so far as to sending PROMISED relief to the African continent (where tens of thousands die per day, and children orphaned due to the AIDS crisis riot for the basic necessities - healthcare, food and clean water, and shelter - are thrown in jail to rot. But no, instead somewhere around the ballpark of $2 billion was cut from AIDS funding.) Now, those billions were flushed down the proverbial potty to pay off a war that was NEVER for the intent and good of the Iraqi people (Iraqi Liberation my ass) but to settle a personal vendetta from the days of daddy Bush. Now were are billions further in debt, there are 43 million Americans without any healthcare whatsoever (especially for war vets, what a nice thing to do for the defenders of our country), and he cut funding not only to schools (sending MY TUITION HERE AT RUTGERS SKYROCKETING UP SEVERAL THOUSANDS IN ONE JUMP) but also to groups supporting women's rights and preventative domestic violents organizations.

Fourthly, he gave us, the citizens of his wonderful country, an astronomical share of the national debt somewhere around $24,000 per person - it was only $500 a person when he took office. THATS AN INCREASE OF $19,000 DOLLARS A PERSON!!! He took what was once a $200 billion dollar surplus and turned it into a $520 billion budget defecit. That's the most spending (or should I say wasting) any one president has ever done. >:(

Fifthly, Bush has made repeated attempts to screw over wildlife preservation acts and organizations. To put it simply, Bush could give a flying fuck about the environment. He began logging in Tongass national forest which was once protected by anti-logging acts, repelled a global warming act that 187 other countries adopted, and is trying to drill for oil in the national wildlife refuge. Gotta stick your big dick not only into the sand but into the ice too, huh?

Sixthly, Bush goes out of his way to instill fear and terror into the hearts of his people. Big bad Bush will keep America safe from the terrorists and the constant, hourly threat of biological warfare and nukes! (*cough cough BUSHIT*) Bush went out of his way to stretch out the events and reactions of 9/11 as far and for as long as he could. I'm not saying he didn't do a good job during those times - hell, that would be living nightmare for anyone to have to deal with. But to sit there and stare vacantly into space when someone tells you America has been attacted when you know damn well you're the fucking PRESIDENT and have to do something about it - well, let's just say it takes half a brain to process something like that and act on it in due time.

Seventhly, (and in my opinion very importantly), Bush has part mental retardation. (Say WHAT? Let me explain.) To have the President of a country make little screw-ups and trip over words during speeches is one thing. Everyone can get nervous or mixed up infront of a huge audience, especially a global audience, so I cut him some slack. SOME. To have a constant case of diarrhea of the mouth and be unable to form a coherent, logical and sensical sentence without twisting words around, gibbering mindlessly and screwing up ideas of common knowledge (Burn me once, shame on you, Burn me twice? ...... dduuuhhhhhhhh....) is a complete and utter disgrace and embarassment to the country as a whole. To have this bumbling, ignorant, two-wit BLOCKHEAD make a complete and utter fool of himself in front of the nation and the world TIME AND TIME AND TIME AGAIN!!!!! is a terrible way to represent our country. I am ashamed. (You can't say nuclear, that really scares me... sometimes a brain can come in quite handy!)

Eightly (I'm getting tired here lol), Bush was the only president in history (in fact, the only political person in history) to be protested simultaneously by 10 million people worldwide. (Most of the protestors were from other countries). Hmmm... when even people of another country (who for the most part are not affected by him or his policies on a day-to-day basis) protest his being in power, SOMETHING HAS GOT TO BE SERIOUSLY FUCKED UP.

Ninthly, there are now 4 million MORE PEOPLE without jobs in the US. Our unemployment rate is at 6%. (I suppose it COULD be worse.)

Tenthly, he massively cut funding for grants for low income students and did away with a $225M project to give job training to the younger generations of America in order to support his Iraqi crusade.

Eleventhly - HALLIBURTON. Nuff said.

There are a hundred other reasons why I personally believe Bush is a terrible, horrible president and why he should never have been allowed back in office. My question remains - how the HELL did he get re-elected? Granted, I will keep my ideas about the opinions of others to myself - it is wrong to shun someone else's opinion. I'm sure people have their reasons, and I completely respect that. Hell, half of our nation feels he's good enough to be our president. But just the fact that he lied to our faces, later admitted it, and is constantly attempting to take away our civil rights is enough reason to pick ANYONE BUT BUSH. Kerry might have been a flip-flopping fair-weather candidate who told us what we wanted to hear and was probably viewed by most of the nation as weak and incompetant, but I would take him anyday over a war-mongering, megalomaniacal, deceitful butt-buddy to the murderous and greedy conglomerates of the nation who cares nothing for the common good of the people and all attributes therein (healthcare, education, aiding the sick and homeless, civil rights, and also the alleviation of environmental issues). Money and power, power and money, are his only two desires.

For the meantime, I will try to come up, in a positive light, with a list of good things he has done for our country. Might as well try and make the best of the next 4 years. For the record, he HAS kept us pretty protected and safe. But, with the entire global community hating us with a blood-red passion for re-electing a man who tries to dictate the world, how safe will we be for how long?

p.s. I know how people love to debate their opinions, and that is just fine with me. I just did right here. But considering the fact that this is MY OPINION and I've stated my stance on the issue already, I don't feel like my journal being clogged with people bashing each other's ideas and political positions win a rude and vindictive manner. So, I've disabled comments. Sorry. If you don't like my opinion, you're entitled to yours - I won't push mine on you, you better not push yours on me.
