That's one of my favourite sentences too, there's something about the words 'here be monsters' that sounds just like Dexter.

I am really really really really happy to see this pairing. Like, insanely so.

For some reason Deb seems to cop a lot of flak from fans, but she's one of my favourite characters, and the dynamic between Deb and Dex is fascinating.

I think you managed to make their dynamic very realistic, and it was just great. :) Hope to see more from you!

You know, Deb is one of my favourite characters too and you're right, her dynamic with Dexter is one of the most enthralling things on the show, perhaps because she is the one who makes him act more human. He shows a side of himself with her he doesn't show with anyone else and I find that fascinating.

I hadn't thought much of Dexter and Deb in a pairing either - they act too much 'brother and sister' - but when I started to think who would go with Dexter if he was forced to escape, I just knew that person would be Deb and the rest came along.
