Picture This
Okay, well, two things here.
Number one, I promised some folks a picspam on the new 'do. So here it is.
Ahem, now the second. I had some requests from my post the other day.

My Makeup:
LOL, I own about three things. I literally had to scrounge for this stuff. My typical makeup consists of an eye brush (the lying down tube) to conceal the dark circles under my eyes, 'cause they're pretty bad some days. Then I slap on some lip gloss for work or just plain chapstick, and I'm off. The clear powder is my remnant of stage makeup. I use that...well, pretty much never. ;)
My Favorite Shoes:
Well, this was like trying to chose amongst my children! I have a serious shoe problem...so I picked four -- two casual and two work. The Converse and the Rocket Dogs are my absolute favorites for going around town, and I adore the way those espadrilles and brown heels make my legs look. Yes, I'm vain. :D Best part? All together, these shoes cost me about 80 bucks. The only thing I love more than shoe shopping is bargain shopping. :)

My Favorite Jewelry:
I love these two pieces -- I wear one (or both) of them daily. The one on the right I've had for years -- the front is the eye of Ra, the back is Celtic horses. I am a huge mythology fan, so it means alot to me, especially since I got to choose the design for each side. The one on the left was something I picked up while I was in China. We were wandering around the huge market in Shanghai, and one of the last booths I visited was this Tibetan guy who made his own jewelry and other metalwork. This particular piece is the Buddhist mantra "Ohm Ma Ni Padme Hum" (there is no real English translation, but it is used to open the heart center and focus on compassion) in Sanskrit. I saw it and just knew I had to have it.
My Favorite Top:
Well, I was looking through my closet, and had a revelation -- I don't really have a favorite top! How sad! So I picked the one that probably looks best on me. And don't get me wrong, I love it, I just hadn't really thought about a favorite top, LOL. And please ignore the horrid looking person wearing the top. ;)
My Favorite Painting/Picture:
Okay, there are two:
Mikhail Vrubel is my favorite Russian artist, and this (Swan Princess, 1900) is one of my favorite pieces by him. I just think it is an amazing example of the late 19th century focus on fairy tales and legends in Russian art.
Now, the second is a much less renowned photographer. That would be me. ;) I took this picture with my 35mm, so I had to take a picture of the picture, making the quality not as good as a wanted. But, you get the idea...it's one of the best pictures I have ever taken, so I'm pretty proud of it.
In other news, I am SO tired. I haven't had enough sleep this week. And I decided today would be a good day to hit the gym for the first time in months. AAAGH! I am going to be SO sore tomorrow, I know it.
And my friend is coming into town this weekend! YAY!!! I really can't wait to see him. It's been about seven months since we saw each other, so it will be nice to have some friend time. :)
So I may not be around much this weekend. But I am trying to get it together for the redandthewolf challenge, so hopefully I will have something good (and complete :P) for the deadline.
