Dean, Sam, and Xander had run out of Los Angeles like a bat of out of hell. No time to say goodbye to friends and no time to really get their shit together. They simply leapt into the Impala, put the pedal to the floor, and were gone.
Dean didn’t want to leave, but knew it was wiser to run than fight an angel of the Lord right now.

"Money, get away." Dean crooned, his hands beating against the steering wheel. "Get a good job with good pay and you're okay."
Pink Floyd belted out of the Impala's traditional radio and cassette player, loud enough to be heard over the engine's roar, the wind whipping around the windows, and Dean's singing. They sped down I-75 North, blowing out of Drafter, Michigan at a steady 80 miles per hour.
A sign whipped pass the black Chevy declaring that they were fact approaching the International Bridge to Canada and Sault Ste. Marie (USA).

"How am I going to call you if I'm dead?" Dean called after Sam jokingly. He looked over to Xander and waved him along. "Come on man. Let's get some rooms and you can find us some food. Gotta earn you keep."
The elder Winchester brother stepped into the motel's main office and rang the waiting bell. A cute co-ed appeared from the back, tawny hair in a pig tail and wearing shorts and flip flops. Dean laid on the charm, all smiles and rightly placed comments to get them two rooms, a single and a double with queens.

"Let's go get our stuff." Dean clapped Xander on the shoulder and lead him back to the Impala to unload the car.
