Meeting A: Continued

Aug 01, 2009 16:14

Regina came in, her bag slung over her shoulder. Sunglasses on her face, making a beeline for her office she gave a wave to a few of the day shifters and pulled out the collection of take-out menus. Today was a day of comfort and she planned on grabbing something bad for her ( Read more... )

Sam and Dean's conversation after leaving the Foundation the night before.

Dean jolted awake, his hand clasping at his gun from under his pillow. He blinked in the world some, trying to look alert as he located the source of his alarm. It was his cellphone, sitting a foot from his head.

He released his gun and flopped back down on the bed with a groaned. The hunter considered how long he could wait out the phone before finally reaching out and answering it.

"Hello?" Dean croaked, peering out from under the covers to see the clock. It was about 9 in the morning.

Sam lifted his head, blinking, bringing his hands up. "'S goin' on?" He looked over at Dean, who he realized was on the phone. "Mmgh." He covered his face with his hands.

Dean sighed and started to scroll through his phone's contact list for Bobby.

"Sammy...time to get up." Dean called out to the form in the bed next to his. "Breakfast is on the Foundation."

"Oh, good," Sam said, sitting up. He looked around the room, a little bleary, and then got up, grabbed his duffel, and padded into the bathroom.

The water was not very hot, but it wasn't unpleasantly cold, so he showered quickly, dried himself with the t-shirt from yesterday (declining to use the creepy motel towels), and dressed again. He brushed his teeth, stared at himself in the mirror for a few moments, and then came back out into the room.

Faith bit back a growl as she felt around on the nightstand, eyes squeezed tightly shut against the sun streaming in the windows. One thing to be said for shithole motels - they usually had decent black out curtains - none of this gauzy decorative stuff.

She felt the cool metal of her phone and pulled it towards her.

This had to be the Foundation. No one else was dumb enough to call before 10 am.

She flipped open her phone, "Yo."

"Hey," Dawn winced looking down at the time. "Sorry Faith, I know its before 10." she took Faith's silence and continued on. "Um, if you want we can continue on with the meeting. Don't worry about breakfast, we've got it covered." Dawn smirked. "Take your time getting here, it will give Reggie sometime to get more awake."

Faith mumbled something reply like and hung up the phone.

Rolling over she buried her face in her pillow. THIS was not going to work. Even the promise of free food didn't excuse the early call.

Ugh. She drifted back to sleep for an hour.

Not like it mattered anyway. She just had to throw on some jeans and a shirt and she was good to go.

Reggie pulled up a breakfast menu that could be delivered. She eyed Dawn on the phone and nearly groaned. Moving to the bar, she grabbed a bottled soda and proceeded to call the place to see what their gong rates were for delivery.

She printed to the printer in the room and printed out a menu. Eyeing the coffee maker in the room she pulled herself out of the chair and made her way over as Dawn finished calling Faith. She began to make a pot, pulling out some creamers and a bowl of sugar.

"Okay so Faith is coming," she paused. "I think, talking to her before 10 is not a good idea." Dawn eyed the menu print out and spotted what she was getting. "Dean and Sam are coming and I think they're getting Bobby." she sighed and noted down on the fax order sheet what she was getting. "Oh and Buffy's coming, I think she wrapped up a little sooner than she thought."

Dean frowned a bit at the elevator as they came up to the 7th floor again. He had dressed quickly after Sam, donning a black t-shirt and a deep red overshirt with the sleeves rolled up. His pendant standing out against the black field. He decided to leave his gun in the car this time, but that didn't mean he was unarmed. He had his boot knife and Ruby's knife, both tucked safety away on his person ( ... )

Bobby's gaze shifted to Dean. Even this early, he was wound up tight. Not that he could blame him. Walking around a building with old-fashioned vampires, monsters that claimed to be demons, and God knew what else was stressful enough. But he knew for a fact that John Winchester had taught his boys better than to wear their hearts on their sleeves.

"Calm down," he grumbled in the younger hunter's ear. "When you're on edge, they're on edge." He flicked his eyes toward a pair of less-than-savory looking fellows down the hall.

"A beer brewer in," she smiled. "Colorado has had reports of singing long after the staff have gone. When security goes to check no one. They think its a haunting. After talking with the head of Security they recived a empty wooden crate. Its usually sent with empty bottles." Regina took a moment to catch her breath, Dawn's speed talking was contagious.

"After they called their bottle supplier in Boston. They found that the empty crate they got was for a winery out in Nappa. Nappa got the brewery's bottles by mistake and sent those. The bottler in Boston doesn't know what was in the empty crate."

((OOC: This Case will be posted in full details))

"A brewery," Sam repeated, smiling to himself. "I think I know where this one's going."

"You do?" she glanced at Dawn thinking the girl might have said something to Sam. Dawn looked confused and took an interest in Sam. "Okay, you tell me." she glanced at Dawnie.

Dawn saw the look that Reggie gave her. Her blue eyes widened and nearly choked on the latte. She shook her head just slightly.

So this Sam guy could be psychic, Ohgod! Do not think those thoughts that you had last night before you went to bed. Sam is not cute. She watched him smile. Damn it, he is cute. Sorry, if you heard that. she paused. What were you execting, him to answer you back? she snorted.

Faith sauntered in, still looking half asleep.

"This whole early meeting thing has GOT to go. So," she poured herself a cup of coffee and plopped down in an empty seat with a folder sitting in front of it, "What did I miss?"

"Paperwork and leprechauns," Sam said helpfully. "Faith, right? I'm Sam... sorry if we didn't really get introduced yesterday." He lifted his coffee to her in greeting, in lieu of standing up.

"Can't say I'm too surprised about the paperwork, but leprechauns? Really?" Faith flipped open the paperwork folder and fished a worn scrap of paper out of her wallet. She couldn't remember crap like account numbers without a cheat sheet.

She grinned when she discovered the first thing in the stack was a breakfast order form. "It too late for me to get some grub?"

Dawn shook her head so Faith skimmed down the list, checking off something with scrambled eggs and meat, some kind of burrito thing, and a side of bacon. A girl's gotta eat…

She glanced around the table, mentally checking off names - Sam, Dean, Bobby. Look at her and her "making friends and influencing people". She'd always sucked at names, but she had a feeling calling your co-workers "hey you" wasn't going to help the team dynamics any.

"Well, I think leprechauns. It's a brewery with a disappearing problem, so, you figure it out." He watched her peruse the breakfast menu, and his stomach growled. Waffles....
