Title: Can We Pull It Off?
Author: LovelessEnding
Pairing: MinHyuk (Changmin x Eunhyuk), MinSu, EunHae
Genre: Angst
A/N: For aribrikapanda1 :D
Summary: Changmin thinks he’s so smart, thinks that they can actually pull this off, and Eunhyuk believes in him, trusts that he’ll keep it from Donghae, keep it from Junsu, and no one will be hurt.
When Changmin first meets Eunhyuk, he’s holding Junsu’s hand tightly, staring at the awkward boy before him, and wondering how on Earth the two could be best friends. Instead, he smiles, introduces himself politely, shakes Eunhyuk’s hand (lets go of Junsu’s) and wonders why Eunhyuk’s smile feels so much like home.
Junsu looks between the two, stares at their enclosed hands, and grins - anxious - “Do you like him, HyukJae?”
Eunhyuk nods, sees their still-clasped hands, laughs nervously, drops Changmin’s like a dead fish, “He’s nice, Junsu. I’m glad.”
They exchanged phone numbers that day, secretively, like it was somewhat illegal. Changmin texts him while he’s in class, laid back in his seat, and holding his phone out of the eyesight of the professor. Junsu peeks, tries to take Changmin’s phone, “Who are you texting~?”
“Secret.” Changmin whispers, puts his finger to his mouth, “Shh.” Leans in - kisses Junsu chastely on the lips.
Eunhyuk smiles, texts Changmin, texts Junsu, texts Donghae, and it’s a round, it’s like a contest; don’t let them find out. Changmin knows, though, and it makes this game that much more exciting. Changmin thinks he’s so smart, thinks that they can actually pull this off, and Eunhyuk believes in him, trusts that he’ll keep it from Donghae, keep it from Junsu, and no one will be hurt.
He forgets anything and everything when Donghae runs to the couch, straddles his hips and pushes their bodies together, kissing his mouth sensually, “I missed you today, you know.”
Eunhyuk grins, grinds his hips against Donghae’s, “I was waiting for you today, you know.”
Changmin arranges to meet up with Eunhyuk once, and as soon as they set eyes upon each other, they know it was a bad idea. Their hands lock instantly, their fingers intertwine like they were always meant to be there, and any idea of a public outing is immediately lost.
They end up renting a cheap hotel in the red light district.
Junsu looks at him weird sometimes, and Changmin wonders, wonders if he might’ve gotten a hint of something here, a hint of something there. Instead, he runs his hands through Junsu’s hair, twisting his fingers through them and gives Junsu butterfly kisses, causing him to giggle, and some sort of sex to occur.
Eunhyuk calls Changmin this time, whispering through the phone in rough vocals. He invites him over, because ‘Donghae won’t be here today. He has a business meeting,’ and Changmin comes quickly, brings a cake and brownie mix, because it’s Eunhyuk’s birthday, and Eunhyuk probably thinks that Changmin’s forgotten all about it.
They end up in Eunhyuk’s kitchen, flour on the floor (they didn’t even need flour, for goodness’ sake, it was a cake mix) and all over themselves. The chocolate mix is luckily in the bowl, but Changmin can’t help but put his finger in and taste it. He smirks, puts in another finger and wipes it on Eunhyuk’s nose, laughs until he’s snorting and on the floor as Eunhyuk tries to lick it off.
Eunhyuk goes down on the ground with him, puts his arms on either side of Changmin’s head, and stares deep into his eyes. Changmin tilts forward, kisses Eunhyuk’s nose with a little tongue, and they stare, oddly serious.
It should only be fitting that that was the time that Donghae comes home from his ‘business meeting’.
They can't break their gaze, and Donghae closes his eyes, walks towards the door, opens it, “There had better be no evidence when I come back. Changmin, you better fucking be gone,” and closes it, his steps echoing through the hallway outside.
Changmin’s frantic, Eunhyuk’s near tears, and they clean the kitchen thoroughly, Changmin being pushed out of the door (a quick kiss on the cheek), as the oven dings - brownies are done.
Donghae glares as Changmin passes, runs through the hallway, down the stairs, catches a bus - ends in Junsu’s arms, trembling, mumbling, “I love you, I love you.”
They’re more careful about it next time, small meetings, chaste kisses, calls in the middle of the night, and coded texts.
Changmin has been saving paychecks, saving for the past two months now, and it’s his and Junsu’s 300th day anniversary. He takes them out to a nice restaurant - reserved a month in advance - and laughs as Junsu becomes so excited that he bounces in his seat when they drive into the parking lot.
He idly fingers the two small boxes in his coat pocket, and takes hold of Junsu’s hand, smirks when he sees the dull blush. Junsu tries to push through his embarrassment, stands tall and proud, squeezes Changmin’s fingers tightly.
“You’re going to cut off the circulation like that, “ Changmin laughs.
Junsu starts to speak, when Donghae comes from nowhere, hitting Changmin for all he’s worth. It knocks Changmin to the ground, his hands getting scraped back as he tries to keep himself from falling completely.
“You fucker, you dare to show your face in front of me again?”
Changmin splutters, holding his cheek, incoherent sentences and phrases coming from his mouth, “I didn’t even see you!”
Eunhyuk grabs onto his boyfriend’s arm, “Donghae, what are you doing? We were passing by, just leave him alone-“ Donghae pushes him away, and Eunhyuk falls to the ground beside Changmin.
Junsu has no idea what’s happening, in one mind he wants to go on his knees to help Changmin up, and the other he wants to ask what the fuck Donghae was thinking to hit Changmin like that. He ends up doing both, but just like before, he opens his mouth to speak and Donghae’s interrupts.
“He was cheating on you.”
And his mouth can only open and close, no words, sounds, or really anything come out. Instead, he turns to Changmin, a small hesitant laugh, “He’s lying, right?”
Changmin can’t meet his eyes, instead focusing on the two boxes, now out of his coat pocket, lying on the tarmac in front of them; the other three center in on them too. Junsu reaches out for one (Eunhyuk mirrors the movement on the other side). “Don’t-“ Changmin asks, reaches out half-heartedly for one.
Opening it up, Junsu gasps and pulls out the couple ring. It’s simple, a band with ‘Forever & Always’ engraved in the forefront. On the inside, ‘Changmin ♥ Junsu’ is written in curling letters. (Eunhyuk cries, clasps onto the ring, tries to see his name through the tears).
A/N: As thanks for 100 members, I did a
requests post :D This one was for Ari. Normally, I don’t even touch Eunhyuk in any pairing xD but for some reason - this one, it really hit me. I think this is the fastest I've ever written something like this. :)
