I used to do that with the Naked Chef. Just sit and listen to the accent and wait for the nakedness, which never came...sigh.
In fact, this reminds me that when I lived in Ft Lauderdale I was working as a bartender until 5am and when I got home I was too awake to go to bed so I would watch Martha Stewart every day (night? day?) and then fall asleep when the Teletubbies came on, lol. I remember sitting there on my black vinyl retro couch in some funky outfit, stinking like alcohol and cigarettes, just dazing out to Martha while counting my tips. I even wrote down some of her ideas, but never ever did them. There was something nice necessary about coming home after that job and immersing myself in the cleanliness and normality of Martha Stewart and the Teletubbies.(even if it was my bedtime and the rest of the world was getting up.) I think it kept me sane. and apparently it was either that or stay up til 9am with everyone else doing drugs.
i would love to come home and make doillies to go under my handpainted wine glasses at my finely decorated dinner table. but it's just not going to happen.
sometimes it makes me feel more in touch watching those things.
i can certainly see how martha stewart would sanitize your world after being in the underground lime light all nite long. and the teletubbies, excellent choice to crash during, excellent.
i love reading sorries about your life. every bit is just a clue just a little taste of the wonders that you've lived. i really wish you would write a book. i would read it and drool. and with all the great experiences you've lead, you give the best advice. so valuable and right on the money. you fucking know what it up!!
let's go for drinks as soon as you can. a chat is in order. and i have much to tell you in the "you were right" department :)
ooooooh I love the I was right department and now my curiousity is piqued! If you ever want to come over after Jaden is asleep that is an option. I just end up feeling bad for my guests when he wakes up and refuses to go back to sleep and I disappear to read him a book and leave my guest sitting on the couch. Kid only requires like 5 hours of sleep, weird. But, if you don't mind that, come on down for a drink and a chat.
and I can't write a book with no ending. something dramatic has to happen right about now in my life to be the last chapter...
you know, i have zero idea where you live. lol! but i would love to come over! and maybe if jaden wakes up he can show me how to play star wars legos. that would rock.
